Beach lovers should never miss...
CONCEPCION GROUP OF ISLANDS!
For those of you who haven't been there yet, but has plans to go there, this post is for you.
A day trip actually wasn't enough, but that's all we've got.
There are a lot of astonishing Islands in Concepcion. Luckily, we got to see some of them. Since we only had a day and no plans of staying there for the night, we squeezed our time. Just our luck!
Call time was at 5A.M. but since we are Filipinos, we were late as usual. Lol.
Instead of departing at 5A.M. we departed at 6A.M. (expected!)
We rented a Van at ZTS Rent A Car for P4,500.00 all-in for a whole day trip. My friend knows the owner of ZTS car rental so it was quite easier for us to do the booking.
Going to Concepcion Islands is as easy as 1.2.3.
Ready to go?
Things to bring:

&

How to get there?
For local commuters:
Just go to Ceres Terminal to catch a Bus or at Tagbak Terminal to catch a Van going to Concepcion.
Fare probably around P110-150.00 and travel time is approximately 2.5-3 hours.
For commuters from Iloilo International Airport:
Option 1. Take a cab/taxi going to Ceres Terminal or Tagbak Terminal (These two Terminals are adjacent to each other, so no worries!)
Taxi fare from airport to any two mentioned terminals is approximately P400-500.00 (Tips, try to negotiate the fare price w/ the driver.)
Option 2. Take a shuttle Van/L3 going to SM City Iloilo for only P50-60.00. From SM City Iloilo, you can either take a cab or walk across the street to take a Leganes jeepney in front of Seven Eleven - Injap Tower Hotel. Just tell the jeepney driver to drop you at the Ceres or Van Terminal going to Concepcion. Jeepney fare is only P7.00.
Since we rented a car, we all agreed to meet at SM City Iloilo and from there we travelled to Concepcion Town Proper for 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival at the Concepcion's Town proper, make sure to drop by at the Concepcion's Tourism Office to secure a permit and pay the environmental fee amounting to P25/pax. The Tourism Officer will be the one to arrange your boat going to the Islands.
Boat Rental:
P1,500.00 - Small Boat (less than 10 pax)
P2,000.00 - Big Boat (10 to 20 pax)
P 500.00 - additional pay for EACH Island that you will visit
In case you have any questions or clarifications feel free to contact the Concepcion Tourism Office at +639982168581 / (033) 396-7731.
We took a bigger boat and started our wonderful Island journey.
The scenery of other Islands along our way
First, we headed to Agho Island (my personal favourite) coz of the heavenly like views and jaw-dropping scenery surrounding it.
Here we had our yummy breakfast in bare hands, yum, yum!
You can play a volleyball here too. Just bring your own ball.
Agho Island open cottage rental is P300.00/day.
Swimming time.
Next stop, Sandbar Island (The most popular among all Islands)
We had our Lunch Lunch Lunch.. grilled fresh catch sea foods we bought from the local fishermen.
Guess what? You can camp in both Agho or Sandbar Island, just bring your own tent. But take note, there is no electricity in the Islands so you better have your own flashlight. There are some lights run by solar power but is only until 10PM.
In Sandbar Island, they have two cottages available for those who want to spend the night.
For the price & reservation just contact Manong Sonny at 0906-819-7516 / 0948-705-5123.

Then again. who doesn't like a sun-kissed skin huh?
No cheating! oh c'mon, I just said about us having a sun-kissed skin. So, why are you guys hiding? huh?
The water's sooooooo tempting.
After swimming, you can bathe yourself with a fresh water for only P25/container. Just ask the caretaker there. He is very friendly and accommodating so as the boat crew.
Tips:
1. According to the caretaker Manong Sonny, the Islands normally jam-packed during weekends of Summer. Glad we went there Friday.
2. Bring your own foods & water.
3. If you are planning for an overnight adventure bring your own tent, a flashlight and of course mosquito repellent.
4. Consider the weather.
5. Please collect all your trash and dispose them properly. Please do care.
6. Have fun.
This has been a perfect summer for me so life is fun after all.
